Why are so many mothers not truly cared for during the time they need help the most?
Throughout my journey in the postnatal care industry,
I realised that many mothers go through struggles that are often unseen.
Physical pain
Body fatigue
Breast engorgement
Emotional stress
Sleep deprivation
Slow body recovery
At that time, iBidan was still a small team with fewer than 50 Bidans. One Hari Raya night, around 11pm, I sent a greeting to one of our Bidans. She replied:
“Terima kasih, Bos… sekarang saya tengah dalam perjalanan ke rumah customer. Mummy susu bengkak, saya nak pergi bantu dia.”
While many families were celebrating Hari Raya together, one of our Bidans was still on the way to support a mother who needed help. That night changed the way I saw the profession.
We built iBidan to support both mothers and Bidans – making recovery more accessible and structured, while creating greater visibility, standards and recognition for professional Bidans.
Through ABE – Active BioEnergy Technology, we combine the wisdom of traditional Malay postnatal care with modern wellness innovation to create a more structured and effective recovery experience.
We continue to build training systems, service standards, quality monitoring, professional rankings, customer feedback systems and recognition programmes to strengthen the professionalism of Bidans.
There was a period when iBidan entered a major phase of transition and rebuilding.
During that time, I realised that leadership was no longer only about building a company. It was also about protecting trust.
One Bidan once told me:
Bos pergi mana… kami ikut Bos.
To me, that was more than loyalty. It was trust.
In 2026, iBidan organised the iBidan Postnatal Excellence Recognition in Yunnan, China.
For me, this was not simply an overseas recognition event. It represented a new chapter in recognising the professional value of Bidans and the work they had spent years doing quietly.
It reminded me that our future must go beyond providing services – towards better postnatal recovery awareness, stronger professional standards, greater recognition for Bidans, and a more structured future for traditional postnatal care.

and elevating the role of professional Bidans.
At the heart of iBidan is trust – the trust mothers place in our care,
and the trust Bidans place in our journey.
That trust took years to build.
Protecting that trust will always remain at the heart of everything we do.
