iBidan in Regional Care Economy Discussion with YB Puan Anfaal Saari

iBidan joined a strategic discussion with YB Puan Anfaal Saari and Wanita Berdaya Selangor to explore Women Care Workforce development, paid care opportunities and the potential of strengthening a regional Care Economy ecosystem relevant to both Singapore and Malaysia .

iBidan was grateful for the opportunity to join a strategic discussion with YB Puan Anfaal Binti Saari, Selangor State Executive Councillor overseeing Women’s Development, Community Welfare and Care Economy, together with the Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) team.

During the session, iBidan shared real data on our Bidan workforce, market demand, income outcomes and the potential to create more meaningful paid opportunities for experienced Bidans through a structured care platform.

One important message stood out clearly:

Women’s development should go beyond training. Skills need to translate into real work, better income and stronger families.

For iBidan, this discussion is also highly relevant to Singapore.

Over the years, iBidan Singapore has seen how a professional, higher-value postnatal recovery care model can create better opportunities for experienced Bidans, while giving mothers greater confidence in the quality and consistency of care they receive.

As the Care Economy continues to grow across the region, iBidan believes there is strong potential to connect care skills with professional women workforce development, income generation and family well-being.

This aligns closely with iBidan Singapore’s continued commitment to provide home-based postnatal recovery care through our Singapore-based Bidan team, with a focus on professionalism, trust, comfort and a more structured recovery experience for mothers after childbirth.

We look forward to continuing this journey and exploring how the iBidan model can contribute to a stronger regional Care Economy ecosystem.
